Sioux Falls (an Ode)

Posted by Cathryn Mahoney on

Crashing foam over ancient silica rocks, jagged and eroding
Delved cup marks spooning ice cold water
Feeding life to flora and fauna
Behold a diverse landscape stretching out majestically
Winding and traversing through the valley
Snow melts flowing ferociously
Mists of droplets feeding rainbows of light stroking the air
A place where all becomes one, merging together
Humanity deeply in awe of the enormity of this life force
Powerful, humbling, evolving yet ever lasting
Ancestors and present generations benefiting from constancy of new life, movement, light, and energy!
