Video of the North Yorkshire Moors
A view from Jerry Noddle, which is a spit of land overlooking hill and dale, moor and forest and far out to sea beyond Scarborough. It is now an end point of a cycling and walking trail through the Dalby Forest National Park in North Yorkshire.
In times gone by it provided a welcome view of the sea for weary itinerants escaping the harshness of life on the moor; especially for those who were hounded for their beliefs in the supernatural or who had natural healing abilities, which was often perceived to be witchcraft.
