How much has chance played a role in your life? Think about how you met a partner or got your first job. Have strange encounters dramatically changed your life? Have you ever experienced a coincidence so incredible that it left you stunned? If so, then you have just taken a step into the amazing world of ‘synchronicity’.
What happens in most people’s lives is beyond their control. Think about it, no matter how carefully you plan your life, you cannot know if your future endeavours will be affected by a single random event. One small detail can and will change everything. People often put it down to good luck, being in the right place at the right time, or bad luck, that nothing goes right for them. Some people say it is due to karma, that good things happen to them because they have done a good deed, or bad things happen because they are getting paid back for a mistake or a wrong decision they have made.
Our beliefs have a large part to play. People who are happy go lucky and believe they deserve good things, usually have good things happen to them, whereas the more pessimistic among us will expect bad things to happen and are therefore not open to the possibilities that they deserve wonderful life-changing experiences.
Is ‘Belief’ really the trigger for synchronicity?
If you don’t believe, then you can’t activate this extraordinary gift. Your brain won’t process information that it doesn’t expect to see. If you are not open to believing, something could be right in front of you but you still won’t see it.
However, when a synchronistic event does occur, it creates new positive thoughts and beliefs. The energy produced by the new belief system and accompanying positive attitude can then affect the chance of other similar events and experiences occurring.
The most widely recognized synchronistic events are those where a career or relationship has followed a chain of unexpected changes, and the person knows intuitively they are being guided in a certain direction. We regularly see people who are going through significant life changes where they may feel out of control with events. However, if they are encouraged to look at patterns and signs which then highlight the synchronicity, it can help them to believe that they deserve the positive changes that their intuition is guiding them towards.
Change is difficult
As it often means leaving situations or people behind that may no longer be giving us what we need. A prime example is staying in a safe, well paid job, even though you are longing for something more meaningful and challenging which provides more flexibility and a better work-life balance. Once you acknowledge what you want to do and you believe you deserve it, events will unfold to lead you in the right direction. It may be a chance meeting with someone who is doing a similar job that you would like to do, or you see a course advertised that would give you the qualifications you need.
It’s worth thinking about, and setting in motion the changes needed to change your life for the better!
